Lorin Zaumseil MSN, CNM
Lorin first developed an interest in pregnancy and women’s health while finishing her bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M, and further refined her target on Midwifery while in nursing school at University of Texas at Arlington. After several years of helping women in a large variety of experiences welcome their babies into the world as a Labor & Delivery nurse, Lorin had her own son Carson here at the birthing center, and decided that she was ready to push forward and start midwifery school. She achieved her dream and graduated with her Master’s of Nursing degree as a Certified Nurse Midwife from Frontier Nursing University and has been working as a hospital-based midwife in Denton and Lewisville. Most of her clinical experience was obtained here at Fort Worth Birthing Center, and she is happy to be coming back home to continue her work helping women realize their strengths and power through birth. Lorin has a passion for helping women and families navigate their healthcare needs and believes in the power of evidence-based care, informed consent and having a variety of options to meet the needs of those from a variety of backgrounds and belief systems.
Lorin has two children, Allison and Carson. In her free time she enjoys gardening, hiking, sewing, and is an active foster for a local cat rescue.
