Erica Eggebrecht has a true passion for caring for women, but landed in her career as a Nurse-Midwife on a non-traditional path. After many years in the aerospace industry, Erica was inspired by the natural births of her own daughters to become a Nurse-Midwife.
Erica graduated with her Bachelors in Nursing from Texas Christian University, during which time she worked as a doula, followed by several years in the ER as a nurse. Her love for women’s health led her to join the Nurse-Midwifery program at Texas Tech University Health Science Center.
In her clinical experience at Texas Tech, Erica has had the opportunity to work with women from many cultures and all walks of life as they make the transition to motherhood. She remains active in the Consortium for Texas Certified Nurse-Midwives and the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
Erica lives in Fort Worth with her husband and her two beautiful daughters, Eleanor and Hazel, who were both caught by Nurse-Midwives. In her spare time, she is a soccer/dance/swim mom, an avid reader, and an aspiring home chef.
Erica feels truly blessed to be a part of the FWBC team, and looks forward to serving the women of Fort Worth!
